HR Assistant

Temporary Assignment (3 to 4 months)

Pay $20.00 per hour

Hours: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

We are looking for a Temporary HR Assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. The HR assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside of the HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining the employee database to posting job ads. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. To be an ideal candidate for the HR Assistant position, you should hold an HR-related degree or have some experience in the industry. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.

Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc)
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc) and take minutes
Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
Assist the recruiters to source candidates and update the database
Skills

Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
Familiarity with ATS software and resume databases
Basic knowledge of labor laws
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communications skills
