Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resource Generalist must be detailed-oriented, reliable and a team player to provide efficient Human Resource administration, which includes many administrative duties.

Summary: The human resource generalist will work closely with the management team. This position performs duties at a professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program, benefits management, and payroll functions. This position requires an observant person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.


Willing to learn HR Systems in Mexico, Finland, Canada and Taiwan.
Interviews, screens, and recruits job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and warehouse job openings for multiple locations in the U.S. (Massachusetts, California & Wisconsin).
Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements.
Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action.
Discusses with managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
Acts as an employee relations specialist.
Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued to employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems.
Maintains employee personnel files.
Maintains, updates and distributes the employee phone list.
Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
Reports maintain and monitor all workers’ compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.
Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits of employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process. Maintains and distributes a list of new and canceled employees under each benefit plan. Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment.
Administers COBRA for group health plans.
Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
Assists with the ISO audit process.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or the equivalent education.
Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other human resource programs.
